Some of the best things in SLU don’t need a date. Trivia on Thursdays, the Saturday market, a free sail some summer Sundays. This is the full list, kept by hand so it stays right.

Music bingo twice a month, matching songs instead of numbers, at SLU BRU.

Chantey Sing aboard the Arthur Foss
A monthly maritime song circle aboard the tugboat Arthur Foss at the Historic Ships Wharf, hosted by Northwest Seaport. The date is usually the second Friday of the month, though it moves some months, so the listed dates come from the organizer.

CSRD Monday Miles
Free weekly evening group run of one to five miles starting under the canopy at MOHAI, open to all paces.

Free weekly morning group run of varied distances starting from the MOHAI parking lot, open to all paces.

Flow in the Park
Flow Fitness runs a free outdoor workout on the Lake Union Park lawn every Wednesday of the summer. Mats go down at 4:30, the 5 PM class rotates through Zumba, barre, BODYCOMBAT and a run club, and a beginner-friendly yoga flow follows at 6. Bring a mat and water. There's a DJ and a raffle at the end.

Free Community Lunch at kakáo
A free midday lunch at the Westlake coffee and chocolate shop, open to anyone who shows up. The shop posts the Mondays it is running one at a time rather than as a standing schedule, so dates here go through the end of August.

Free Sunday Sail at The Center for Wooden Boats
A 25+ year tradition: free volunteer-skippered rides on Lake Union aboard classic wooden boats. The Center runs about one a month; sign-ups start in person at 1 PM and boats head out through the afternoon.

Happy Hour 4 Good
A summer waterside happy hour hosted by the Lake Union Rotary on the CWB dock, on the third Thursday of each month from 6 to 8 PM.

Lake Union Concerts: Free Summer Series
A free summer concert series on and around Lake Union, with floating Dock Rock shows and Paddle Raves. The individual show dates run mid-June through late September and land on the calendar once each one is confirmed.

Live Music at SLU BRU
An early-evening live music set in the taproom every Wednesday, with a rotating lineup of local acts.

Lunchtime Bingo at The Deck
A midweek lunchtime bingo break that ran Wednesdays through the summer of 2025. We haven't been able to confirm a 2026 run yet, so check with The Deck before you head over.

Made in SLU Crafting
A free drop-in crafting session on Nitro Plaza with a different craft each time, running every other Wednesday from late May through October 28.

Matchbox Derby at SLU BRU
A weekly Matchbox car derby at the brewpub, racing die-cast cars every Friday evening.

Monday Night Trivia at A Pizza Mart (Belltown)
Sporcle runs two free trivia games a night at the 6th Avenue pizza counter, one at 7 and one at 8, with menu items for the top teams in each game.

Free Sporcle trivia at the Dexter Avenue bar on the north edge of the neighborhood, with gift cards for the top two teams.

Pike Place Express Farmers Market
A pop-up outpost of Pike Place Market bringing farm produce and prepared food to SLU on summer Thursdays.

REI Run Club
A free weekly 5K community run that meets on the flagship terrace, warms up at 10:10 and heads out on a set route to Lake Union. All paces, and dogs are welcome.

Weekly open-air market with makers, food trucks, and produce on the Amazon Spheres block, run by Northwest Marketplaces.

Two-hour guided painting sessions at the self-pour taproom. The $35 ticket covers instruction and supplies; there's also a Sunday afternoon and a Tuesday evening session.

The Spheres Public Saturdays
Amazon opens the Spheres indoor gardens to the public on the first and third Saturday of each month. Entry is free and requires a timed reservation, which opens about 15 days before each date.

Tuesday Night Trivia at A Pizza Mart
Sporcle runs two free trivia games a night at the Westlake pizza counter, one at 7:30 and one at 8:30. The winning team of each game takes a $20 gift card.

Tugboat Tuesdays aboard the Arthur Foss
Northwest Seaport opens the aft deck of the tugboat Arthur Foss for a view of the Tuesday night sailboat racing on Lake Union. Ticketed, 21 and over. Northwest Seaport does not publish a start time, so check the ticket page before you go.

Underdog Sports Leagues
Adult recreational sports leagues (kickball and pickleball this session) playing Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Denny Park, with games at 6:30 and 7:30 PM. The summer session runs June 9 through August 6; sign up in advance.

Wednesday Night Trivia at Flatstick Pub
Sporcle runs two free trivia games a night at the mini-golf pub on Westlake, one at 7 and one at 8. Gift cards go to the top two teams in each round, and a pizza coupon to whoever finishes second to last.

Weekly trivia at the Denny Way beer bar, which pours 56 taps and keeps a bottle shop and cafe alongside.

Wellness Block Party at kakáo
A monthly morning gathering outside the Westlake coffee shop, with wellness vendors and activities on the block. Dates run on the second Saturday through December.
