SLU Weekly is one page that answers a simple question: what’s going on in South Lake Union this week?

Why we exist

There’s plenty going on in this neighborhood. The hard part is hearing about it. One venue posts its trivia night on Instagram, the market has its own site, the free Sunday sails fill up before most people know they exist, and the rest is spread across a dozen calendars that may or may not be current. We got tired of checking all of them, so we built the page that checks them for us.

We’re independent. We don’t sell tickets or take placement fees, and every listing links straight to the venue or organizer running it, so you’re always one click from the details.

How it works

Most listings arrive on their own. Every morning we go through the venue calendars and organizers’ own pages, keep what falls inside South Lake Union, and set the duplicates aside. The recurring directory and venue directory we still keep by hand, since a small change like trivia moving to Thursdays is easy to miss otherwise.

A note on sources

Everything here comes from venues and organizers directly, never from other event sites. If we’ve got a detail wrong, or you run something in SLU that isn’t listed, the fastest fix is to email hello@sluweekly.com with a link to the source page.

Privacy

We count pageviews and clicks with PostHog so we can see which listings people actually use. It’s anonymous: no visitor profiles, no session recordings. This site runs no ads. If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address stays with the newsletter.
